Kirli Saunders (OAM) is a proud Gunai Woman and award-winning author, multidisciplinary artist and consultant, and was 2020 NSW Aboriginal Woman of the Year In 2022, she was awarded an Order of Australia Medal for her contribution to the arts and literature. Her celebrated books include Bindi, winner of the 2021 ABIA Small Publishers’ Childrens Book of the Year; The Incredible Dreaming Machines and forthcoming Returning.
