Julia Ebner won the 2018 Bruno Kreisky Award for The Rage: The Vicious Circle of Islamist and Far-Right Extremism; her second book is Going Dark: The Secret Social Lives of Extremists. She is a research fellow at the London-based Institute for Strategic Dialogue and a consultant on counter-terrorism to the UN.
