A journalist and author by day, fledgling chef by night, David Cohen is the co-editor of The RNZ Cookbook, which received a special award at the 2022 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. He co-authored Ima Cuisine with the Auckland restaurateur Yael Shochat, along with six other books. On assignment to local and international media outlets, he has visited kitchens, restaurants and cooking schools in Dublin, Milan, Jerusalem and Cape Town. He writes frequently about the culinary scene in Aotearoa.
