Freddie Gillies is the author of The Big Bike Trip (non-fiction), published by Penguin Random House in 2021. Because All Fades is his debut fiction, signed by Bateman and due for release in February 2024. Gillies enjoys exploring duality in people; discipline meeting disorder, love giving way to indifference, calm usurped by calamity. Born in Auckland, Gillies left to travel after his studies, settling in London, where his experiences guide the fiction he writes. When he’s not writing he can be found cycling, writing music, walking in parks, or planning his next adventure.
