New Zealand-born, Australian-based Bren MacDibble won numerous awards in both countries for her 2017 novel How to Bee, a story about family, loyalty, kindness and bravery, set against an all-too-possible future where climate change has forever changed the way we live. Her intense and thrilling new work The Dog Runner introduces Ella and Emery as they travel large distances across a dry, barren and dangerous landscape. The nomadic Bren, who currently lives in a bus, shares tales of her writing life and the inspirations that inform these stories of unsettling future worlds and ravaged environments.
