AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND

Josie Shapiro won the inaugural Allen and Unwin Commercial Fiction Prize for the manuscript that became her debut novel Everything is Beautiful and Everything Hurts. Her short fiction has been published on Newsroom and in literary journals, and she writes book reviews for magazines and online. She was awarded a Michael King Writers Centre residency for 2023.
