AOTEAROA NEW ZEALAND
Writer, composer, and musician Ariana Tikao (Kāi Tahu) is an Arts Foundation Laureate and is one of this year's Ursula Bethell Writers in Residence at the University of Canterbury. She is also a leading player of taonga puoro. Her work draws upon historical kōrero from her ancestors, and often has mana wahine focus. Her new book is Mokorua: My Story of Moko Kauae.
