Jade Kake (Ngāpuhi, Te Whakatōhea, Te Arawa) is an architectural designer and writer. She is the author of Rebuilding the Kainga: Lessons from Te Ao Hurihuri and has contributed chapters and articles to a wide range of housing and architecture publications. Jade was the recipient of the 2021 CLNZ and NZSA Te Puni Kaituhi O Aotearoa Writers’ Award, 2020 Te Papa Tupu Māori Writer Development Programme, and the 2019 Michael King Writers Centre Emerging Māori Writer’s Residency.
