Victor Rodger, of Samoan and Scottish descent, is an award-winning playwright and scriptwriter who has worked on everything from Shortland Street to his play Sons, for which he won four Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards. He has held residencies at the University of Hawaii, the University of Otago and Victoria University of Wellington, is currently resident at the Michael King Writers Centre, and has also studied writing for film in Amsterdam. Victor will talk about his life as a writer and mission to bring Pasifika voices to the fore on New Zealand stages and screens.
