Ruby Solly (Kāi Tahu, Waitaha, Kāti Māmoe) is a writer, musician and taonga pūoro practitioner living in Pōneke. She released her debut album, Pōneke in 2020 and her debut poetry collection Tōku Pāpā in 2021. Her new book, an epic poem of te Wai Pounamu, is The Artist.
