Mohamed Hassan is the author of the essay collection How to be a [Bad] Muslim. His debut poetry collection, National Anthem, was a finalist in the 2021 Ockham NZ Book Awards, he was NZ’s 2015 National Slam Champion, and he won a New York Festival Radio Award for his podcast Public Enemy.
