Joan Fleming won the Biggs Family Poetry Prize in 2007. She is the author of two poetry collections, Failed Love Poems (2015) and The Same as Yes (2011), and a chapbook, Two Dreams in Which Things Are Taken (2010). She resides mostly in Melbourne but still calls NZ home.
