Musician and songwriter Jay Clarkson was involved with the Flying Nun record label during the eighties and nineties, releasing a self-titled solo album in 1986 and composing songs for bands They Were Expendable, The Expendables, The Playthings and Breathing Cage. She has also performed and recorded a further 3 solo albums Kindle, Spur and Over the Mountain, the latter in collaboration with Johannes Contag. Her current, band The Containers will release their debut album Falling Through this year.
