Alice Te Punga Somerville (Te Ātiawa, Taranaki) is a scholar and poet, currently professor in the Department of English Language and Literatures and the Institute for Critical Indigenous Studies at the University of British Columbia. Her latest work is the Ockham New Zealand Book Awards shortlisted poetry collection Always Italicise: How to write while colonised.
