At the age of 21, Chloe Gong landed a spot on the New York Times bestseller list with the first of her acclaimed Secret Shanghai novels – These Violent Delights. Our Violent Ends, Foul Lady Fortune and Last Violent Call soon followed, and she is now published in over 20 countries and has been featured in The New York Times, PEOPLE, Forbes and more. She famously wrote her first book at age 13 on the Notes App of her phone, and came to fame on #BookTok, sharing videos of her writing journey. She now lives in New York but (especially inspiring for Aotearoa audiences) grew up on the North Shore of Auckland and is a former Rangitoto College student.
