Trish Gribben became a household name in the 1980s for her Dick Frizzell- illustrated books Pyjamas Don’t Matter and Nits and other Nasties. Since then she has produced a number of art books for young people, the latest of which is pop-up book SWELL, about the art of Judy Millar.

Novelist Charlotte Grimshaw has won the Katherine Mansfield Award, twice been short-listed for the Frank O’Connor International Prize, won New Zealand’s Montana Award, Book of the Year and Book Reviewer of the Year, been a finalist in the NZ PostBookAwards,andwonaQantas Award for journalism. Award-winning Irish poet Vona Groarke has published six poetry collections including X (2014), Spindrift (2010), Juniper Street (2006), and Flight (2002) and has had poems in The New Yorker, the Guardian and The Times. Groarke teaches at the University of Manchester and is judging the 2015 Sarah Broom Poetry Prize.

One of New Zealand’s most successful, prolific and award- winning playwrights, Roger Hall’s work combines comedy with social observation and has been toured widely, including overseas. Well- known plays include Glide Time (which became the television series Gliding On), Middle Age Spread, Conjugal Rites and Four Flat Whites in Italy.

Dr Ruth Harley CNZM is an executive coach currently living and studying in Sydney. She comes to the field
of coaching after 30 years leading media organisations including NZ on Air, The NZ Film Commission and Screen Australia. Harley holds a PhD in literature from The University of Auckland, supervised by C.K. Stead and W.H. (Bill) Pearson.
AROHA HARRIS nEW zEALAnD
Dr Aroha Harris (Ngäpuhi, Te Rarawa) is a member of the Waitangi Tribunal and lectures in history at The University of Auckland. She is co-author of landmark publication Tangata Whenua: An Illustrated History which portrays the sweep of Mäori history from its Pacific origins to the twenty-first century.

A past star of the Cambridge Footlights, former comedian and classicist Natalie Haynes is the author of The Ancient Guide To Modern Life (2010) and debut novel The Amber Fury (2014).
