University chaplain John Dennison was born in Sydney in 1978, and grew up in Tawa. His poems have appeared in magazines in the UK, New Zealand and Australia, and were anthologised in Carcanet’s New Poetries V (2011). Dennison is also the author of Seamus Heaney and the Adequacy of Poetry (2015).
CAROL Ann DuFFY SCOTLAnD
Carol Ann Duffy is Britain’s Poet Laureate and is both the first woman and the first Scot in the role’s 400 year history. She is one of the most significant names in contemporary poetry and the author of books for children, plays and many celebrated poetry collections including Mean Time (1993), The World’s Wife (1999), Love Poems (2010) and The Bees (2011). Sue Evans is a Senior Urban Designer at Housing New Zealand Corporation. Her education spans science, architecture and urban design and she is a contributor to the Auckland Urban Design Panel’s recent publication Inter- View and active in the Architecture + Women initiative.

Author of Living In Paradox (2015), Garth Falconer is one of New Zealand’s foremost designers and the Director of Reset Urban Design which is working closely with Auckland Council on the Auckland Plan, the blueprint for the city’s next 30 years.

Australian-born, New Zealand-based author Tracy Farr’s debut novel The Life and Loves of Lena Gaunt (2013) was longlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award. More recently Farr won the 2014 Sunday Star-Times Short Story Award for her story Once Had Me. tracyfarrauthor.net @hissingswan

Laurence Fearnley is a short story writer, novelist and curator. She has produced several widely acclaimed novels, the latest of which is Reach. She has also worked on a number of non-fiction projects ranging around Southern and mountainous landscapes.

Rachel Fenton is a former winner
of AUT’s Graphic Fiction Prize and has been a finalist in the Dundee International Book Prize.
