He is passionate about NZ wildlife, a noted musician, founding member of the Able Tasmans and a boxing fan. He was part of the infamous Sports Café team and has written for Eating Media Lunch and the hugely popular Birdland.

Julie Hill is a writer, documentary- maker and producer of music programmes for Radio New Zealand. Two of her plays have been nominated for Best NZ Play at the Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards and in 2014 she published the story collection Shamejoy.
