Tā Tīmoti Samuel Kāretu (Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Kahungunu) KNZM QSO is an academic of Māori language and performing arts. He has played a critical role in the revitalisation of Te reo Māori and received the 2020 Prime Minister’s Award for Literary Achievement.
