Political cartoonist for The Observer, artist, author and former UK Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell has won a record-breaking three Kate Greenaway Medals as well as the Costa Children’s Book Award. Alongside his own Ottoline and Goth Girl series, Riddell has illustrated the work of writers Frances Hardinge and Neil Gaiman and collaborated with Paul Stewart on the Muddle Earth books. He has also campaigned against the closure of libraries, and judged the Forward Poetry Prize. He discusses his life as an advocate and political commentator with Kate De Goldi.
