KURDISTAN

Poet Choman Hardi went to England as a refugee in 1993 and was educated at Oxford, London and Kent Universities before returning to Kurdistan to teach Literature and Gender Studies. Her second poetry collection Considering the Women was shortlisted for the Forward Prize.
