Vancouver-based Carmen Aguirre is the daughter of members of the Chilean resistance. An accomplished writer, actor, playwright and director, she has written two memoirs: Something Fierce: Memoirs of a Revolutionary Daughter, which was named 2012 CBC Canada Reads Champion, and the just-published Mexican Hooker #1.
