The Ockham NZ Acorn Prize for Fiction 2024 Winner’s Interview: Emily Perkins on Lioness
Described by the judges as “disturbing, smart, and funny as hell”, Emily Perkins’ Lioness was awarded New Zealand’s biggest fiction prize this week. She sits down for a special interview with the Fiction category’s convenor of judges Juliet Blyth to discuss her smart, multi-layered, laugh-out-loud novel exploring wealth, class and female mid-life reckoning.
This session was previously Natalie Haynes: Divine Might. Unfortunately, Natalie Haynes has had to cancel her visit to Auckland Writers Festival Waituhi o Tāmaki on medical grounds. We’re sending Natalie all our best wishes for a speedy recovery. All bookers will be contacted.
