Siobhan Harvey: Mastering Place and Space

All story happens somewhere. Be it fiction, poetry, memoir, creative nonfiction, sci-fi, fantasy, hybrid form or any of the diverse genres in which we write, setting is vital to the success of our work.

To coincide with the release of her award-winning memoir, What We Remember, What We Forget, join queer, migrant author Siobhan Harvey for a masterclass on crafting the place and space in narratives. Along the way, you’ll consider the roles of mimesis, diegesis, pathetic fallacy and character interiority in helping evoke literary landscapes as more than just stages upon which plots are enacted.

This is an immersive masterclass, so bring your stories and creativity, and be ready to ponder, reflect, write and edit.
