Jimmy Wales: The Seven Rules of Trust

When internet entrepreneur Jimmy Wales founded Wikipedia more than two decades ago, he changed the landscape of knowledge and how we access it forever. He has since been named as one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People and by the World Economic Forum as one of the top 250 world leaders for his professional accomplishments, his commitment to society, and his potential to shape our future.

Today, Wikipedia is viewed 11 billion times every month in the English language alone. But in our “post-truth” era, where the internet is a sea of disinformation, for Wales it’s more important than ever to return to the problem at the heart of it all: that without trust, we have no knowledge.

And without knowledge, we can’t fight back.

Derived from decades of observation, participation and discussion with leaders across the world, he joins us to share his clear, actionable rules for building trust in business, leadership and life – and offers his warnings about what faces us if the trust goes.
