Sir Peter Williams QC is one of New Zealand’s pre-eminent barristers. He has appeared in some of the country’s mostcelebratedandcontroversialtrials, including the ‘Mr Asia’ case, the Arthur Allan Thomas appeals and the Thomas Royal Commission of Enquiry. He is a leading advocate for penal reform and published his memoir The Dwarf Who Moved in 2014.

Xinran is a renowned journalist, author and advocate for women’s issues perhaps best known for her book The Good Women of China (2002). Originally a popular radio broadcaster in China she now lives and works in London.
